I am trying to connect my CPU with the HD 3850( by powercolor) to my toshiba regza model 32c3500e (32-inch LCD TV)
i have bought the HDMI to DVI cable but even after installing my drivers for my graphics card, i still get a blue screen on my tv after my computer is turned on.
My CPU is new, the following steps is wad i did after i got my CPU
1. install windows xp service pack 2( connecting my 8year-old monitor to the CPU)
2. install my motherboard drivers from gigabyte
3. install the driver for my HD 3850 graphics card together with catalyst control center and stuff
4. connect my Regza to the cpu and attempted to start using
5. i see nothing on the screen even though i am on the right channel
ps: i have tried the TV and cable with another CPU which has a geforce 7600 and it worked.
please help me on this, thanks a lot

Re: connecting my HD 3850 to my toshiba LC TV
have you tried using straight DVI to DVI?
I'm guessing right now you are using the HDMI output on the Radeon HD 3850 going to a DVI port on the TV?

You may have to change your display type from monitor to LCDtv. I had to do something of that sort in the geforce menus.
