3Dmark Vantage has DirectX 10.1 test

Here is some interesting news about 3DMark Vantage that is coming out soon -
We've learned that the next generation 3Dmark will have two points that are going to suit ATI a lot. The new 3Dmark06 will have a DirectX 10.1 test, at least that is the current plan, and we all know that none of Nvidia's graphics cards have support for this API.
This will be quite a blow for Nvidia, as in this particular test Nvidia ought to score zero and we are sure that this will affect the final score. The benchmark should be out in February.
Wonder how this will play out as NVIDIA doesn't seem too interested in DirectX 10.1.

sounds good for ATI, but i doubt that it will affect nvidia as a whole, and even if it does, the 9k series is comin out soon anyway

Well nvidia 9 series is coming out soon. But this seems suspicious, did AMD pay off futuremark? heh.

They sure couldn't have bribed futuremark with money, Maybe Héctor Ruiz had to get down and dirty for this one.

okay first of why would AMD pay them off? this is the next logical step for the benchmarking company to take.
Also now that this is out has anyone tried it yet?

With this 3dmark,all new graphics card will perform awful I guess,like the last 3dmark when it appeared.

Well I would doubt Nvidia is going to rewrite silicon just because they are missing the 0.1 support. They'll have a new monster GPU on the market that is DX10.1 capable long before it becomes an issue to them or games come out that make use of it.
ATI has tended to usually jump on newer specification updates much quicker than Nvidia anyway, they did the same with DX 9.0c and their 9600/9800 cards as I recall.

Well Nvidia got late here.ATI already has the 10.1.Not a big issue though.Nvidia should have 10.1 in their 9 series of cards.
