Buying ATI?

Well I've had crossfire mobos for quite a while, but I always end up buying a single nvidia card and I never have the option of doubling up, so I'm planning to sell my 8800gts soon, I WAS going to buy a 3870x2, until I saw the review from tweaktown, it shows that it only outperforms the 8800gts g92 in a few games and mostly at high resolutions, since I game @ 1440x990 I thought that buying a 3870x2 would kind of be a waste? So I'm wondering, should I just go for a 880gts g92??? Or just stick with my old GTS??? I would get an 8800gt but i fear it will soon be too weak to run games in the near future( on max) and I'll be stuck with another single card with no hope for sli( don't want hacked drivers).

like i say alot,, the 8800gt will be fine unless you like to run at like 8x aa and 16x asf. but to each his own. if i were you i would maybee get 3870s in xfire, or just an 8800gt or gts (g92 of course)

from what i've seen so far, the 3870X2 outperforms the 8800Ultra, the only thing is the bad drivers, maybe in a month or two we'll have some better drivers, if you want a card now, you'll be fine with the 8800GT

hmm, I don't think anything thats coming out soon is going to justify spending 200$+ selling my gts for a 10% increase in gaming performance

Wait, what? You have a crossfire mobo, and you want to crossfire, but you have an 8800GTS? Just keep the 8800GTS. If 2x3870 or 3870x2 isn't much better, whats the point? Are you planning on quad crossfire? That might not work on your mobo or the benefits for quad crossfire may be too little for you to go after.
I'd wait on quad corssifre reviews and drivers, and I'd stay with the 8800GTS for now.
