if it has a temp sensor, CCC will tell you in the Overclocking tab(the bottom one in the advanced GUI)

could you tell me what CCC is?

I use Rivatuner or HW Monitor to monitor my GPU temps, but I have no clue if they would work on your card.

CCC is Catalyst Control Center, it comes with catalyst driver suite, unless all you downloaded was the display drivers

pretty sure 9200 doesn't have a sensor, I don't think they started adding them into ati cards until the x700/x800 series. I have a 9600 around and I know it doesn't have one. you'd have to put a probe on it to get a reading.

Possibly the 9800 had one one, it was a high end feature not needed by most back then.
kappage: What are you doing that you think the 9200 is running too hot anyway?

well i KNOW that some of the 9xxx cards have sensors, just dont know which, but yes, a majority(or nearly all) dont, i think it was on the newest ones

Well i sort of made a bet that i could get the stocks clocks on it to go rather high compared to the 250/200 that they are now, i was planning on cutting down a Standard intel CPU hsf to fit on it or something. that was i could possibly get it to 300/250 maybe?

No their doesnt seem to be a temperature sensor. Unfortunately but as u where saying with teh NB heatsinks i have a whole load of them that i ripped of motherboards, where should i stick them and how?

well, i just put it on the GPU and the two holes lined up like they were made for it,
that may or may not be the case for those cards ok, it looks like the HS for those GPUs are rather odd, so you cant really use a NB HS unless you took the silly route, like i did on my SB of my PC CHIPS mobo, and remove the springs/clips of the HS and Superglue it to the GPU(not recomended)
or if there is a fan plug on the card(or you can use an extra case fan) you can put a fan on it by raising it above whatever HS is there with anything you can find and superglue
like so..

Well i have been able to undo the Spring clips but the bloody thing was just taped down with double sided tape!! thats right their was No thermal compound at all!!
Well ill see how much i need to cut off this intel HSF

That's actually thermal tape, or should have been. I guess the cards are that low power that even if it was just normal tape it wouldnt matter though.

Well it is a very cheap and crappy card, i have put proper TP on their and put a fairly large old AMD heatsink on thier. with a fan. Ill post pics later

This also shows the CPU clock that i currently have on the beast! reckon i could use it for gaming?

On a more serious note, you should run some benchmarks on it and submit them to our teams HWBot site.
