4850 for my fiancee?

She is convinced her video card is the root of all evil (in her computer). Therefore it must go. Since she's not the type to read through all the available reviews, I have done my best to summarize for her all of the the available options. She has chosen the new 4850.

Now, since I have not purchased an ATI card in some time, I was wondering if there were resellers that are "favored" compared to those that are "inexpensive"?

Also, she has an older Foxconn board that does not have PCIe 2.0. I was given the impression this shouldn't matter. However there are always exceptions to the rules. Has anyone had problems using 2.0 cards in older boards?

Cheers!

It works just fine on older boards, I didn't have any issues with it.
I' ve got a Sapphire now and had a Sapphire with my last grafics card, never had any problems at all. and btw thw overclocking worked quite well with mine, got a bit more than 10% up on core(690Mhz) and 14 % on the memory(1133Mhz) ;).
