I keep getting this error all the time...first my picture freezes and then it appears "VCU Recover has reset your graphics accelerator as it was no longer responding to graphics driver commands." also sometimes i dont get the error message but my computer only freezes and stops responding and i have to restart it.
I bought my computer before 2 years and that error message appeared from the begining. It appeared more and more frequently and today i actually cant do anything withouth it appearing. I'm getting it sometimes when i play youtube video, surfing the net, when i play games(nba liva, nba 2k,pes2008...) its really anoying. My graphic card is ATI RADEON X1300.
I already tried to install a new driver but that didnt help.
Please help!!

Have you tried a complete re-install of windows on your computer?

Did u use Driver CLeaner or something similar to clear out of the left over files from the display driver? if not do that and try installing the driver again..if its still pissy..then id say a reinstall may work..pain in the ass but at least then you will get an idea if hardware or software was issue..IMHO to me an error like that suggests its a bad driver(hence "it was no longer responding to graphics driver commands")..you said its done it since you got it so even a windows reinstall may help or might even show if that card is bad(extreme worst case scenario on that)...ALSO did you try another video card to see if it still did it?..if not and if you're able to, try that too..

i did try driver cleaner as you said but it didnt work. thats a good idea, i'll try Nvidia card from my friend and if that doesnt work i'll reinstall windows.
whats weird about this is that in one other forum i have seen at least 10 people with the same problem who all have different ATI cards. one person said that it might have something to do with VIA chipset for the motherboard. He said that The VIA chip set just doesn't want to get along with the ATI Radeon. I do have VIA chip set.
