Sapphire 4870 X2 Safe Operating Temperature

Post by Rutgar »

Hi,

I'm running two Sapphire 4870 X2 cards in Crossfire mode. It appears that the temperature runs between 50 degrees C, and 79 degrees C. According to the meter, this is all within the 'yellow'. Are these temperatures about par for this configuartion. I'm using an all air-cooled case which has 4 fans.

Those temps aren't bad. My Single 4850 gets 85 to 90 degrees and never failed. :)

Ah, okay. Thanks! I wasn't sure since I've heard of others having overheating issues with these cards in tandom.
