So, when you say crash... Is it blue screening, restarting, locking up or something else?

For now do the basics... make sure the CPU and GPU are not over heating, if the system is overclocked go back to defaults and see if it still crashes, make sure you are running the latest drivers (CATALYST 9.5).

Hope this helps a little bit.

What kind of power supply do you have out of curiosity?

I recently installed Demigod, my first game that actually taxes my system, and my Sapphire 4850 X2 also locks up after not too much time, requiring a hard restart. I'm pretty sure it's an overheating problem. I'm using a Corsair tx850 so I should have plenty of power and when I manually set my fans to 100% I was able to play for 1/2 an hour rather than 15 minutes or so. My display is an 32LG60 which is a 32 inch 1080P LCD tv. Do ATI 4850s have an intrinsic overheating problem? With an Antec 1200 with lots of airflow and a low ambient temperature I expect to be able to use a duel core card for more than 1/2 an hour even at the highest settings! After some research I found out that calalyst 9.5 actually does a worse job with 4850s so I'll probably revert back to 9.4

Right click on My Computer->Properties->Advanced->Startup and Recovery Settings->uncheck Automatically Restart. Now when you have an error you should get a blue screen with an error code (example: Stop 0x0000007B) and rudamentary crash cause (example: IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL). From there you should be able to Google the error code and get a pretty good answer.

It doesn't do an automatic restart is just hangs with a constant video and audio stutter.
