Force screen resolution?

Post by leorou »

Hello. I would like to know if it is not much trouble, could I force the screen resolution of my laptop?

The thing is I purchased a week ago a Sony Vaio FW (VGN-FW378J) with a ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 3650 and I got used to work in my desktop PC which have a 1440x900 resolution. I never thought that i could not change the screen resolution of my laptop outside the default values (1920x1080, 1024x768 and the unbeliebable 800x600 resolution). I know you can force to change the resolution to a unsupported higher value but i want to change it to a smaller resolution and i find myself without answers, not even my friend Google have answers for me :?

Maybe someone could help me. Thanks a lot in advance.

If you can't get the ATI driver to do it out of the box give RivaTuner a shot.
