Hi !
I'm rather new in ATI graphics cards and I got confused when attempting to "decode" which one is better (faster, more capable) : 9700 or X700 (both Mobility). I got the impression that X700 is better in specifications but lower in price. Could someone help me with this (apparent?) discrepancy?! Thanks! Marjan

the x700 has 8 pipes where as the 9700 has 4 pipes, meaning it is better performance wise. Why the x700 is cheaper I don't know. Maybe because there is more demand for the 9700 than there is the x700
