Catalyst 5.7 and HyperMemory

Well, it looks like that "HyperMemory" feature on those lower end budget cards was somehting ATI liked a lot. Seems it is possible to create the same environment with the video card sharing memory with the system memory all done through the software driver (catalyst version 5.7). I guess it's similar to windows using the HDD as Virtual Memory. It makes sense that this feature would work much better on PCI-Express cards rather than AGP becuase of the extra avalilable bandwidth offered by the PCI-Express x16 lanes.
This is indeed a very interesting implementation. Someone with a 6mb or 128mb ATI card should give this a shot and tell us how you like it!! I am still unsure whether or not you can disable it if you want because it seems to provide no performance improvement or maybe sometimes even a performance hit when using high end graphics cards with more memory.
