size matters

Post by Merlin » Sun Feb 27, 2011 6:57 pm

It looks like all the ATI cards of the 68 series or above are really large cards. I cannot seem to find one that is less than 9.5" in length and most are 10+ . The MB I have is Micro ATX and the serial ATA ports are located such that I cannot use a card longer than 9". It looks to me like the GTX 460 is as high up the performance ladder as I can go and still be under 9" in length. Does anyone know of a 6870 that is 9" or less??

- MSi Radeon HD 6850...22.6cm = 8.9" (R6850-PM2D1GD5/OC)
- Sapphire Toxic HD 6870 is 9" (custom PCB one) I'm not sure, but all of Sapphire's custom 6870's look like the same size...http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... -_-Product
