Hope that goes okay!ATI Technologies will begin sourcing flip-chip substrates from Taiwan-based Phoenix Precision Technology (PPT) for its 0.11-micron graphics chip, with first shipments of 500,000 units scheduled for next month, according to sources.
This will be the first time ATI sourcing flip-chip substrates from PPT. The Taiwan-based company has resolved production bottlenecks and now expects to ramp monthly capacity to 2.5 million units by year-end, sources said.
