ive got a suspected dead X800XL coming to me for 15 bucks....i would buy it just so i can destroy it for fun ... but if it isnt dead (guy only has PCI-E boards so couldnt test) are these any good? do they unlock (though i heard that they do) and what oc'ing could i get outa it...if it works

They are very good cards for the $$ but they do not unlock and do not OC well at all. Mine only got up to 423/548. The reason they dont unlock is that they are all ready 16pipes based on the R430 core. If it does work thats a hell of a buy as they cost about $230 used.

Really good deal for fifteen dollars, I hope it works, but if not send it to me:p, maybe I can get it working:p as long as its free its worth the meddling for a bit, maybe some sodering :p. Or just bust it up. peace out.
