Rumors: ATi Radeon X1900 3DMark05 Scores

Post by Apoptosis »

Here are some rumored benchmarks of the X1900XTX, X1900XT and X1900 Crossfire and the supposing GeForce 7900 (G71).

ATi RADEON X1900 XT 512MB CrossFire (625MHz VPU / 1450MHz GDDR-3) : 13,501 3DMarks
NVIDIA GeForce 7900 512MB (700MHz GPU / 1800MHz GDDR-3) : ~13,000 3DMarks?
ATi RADEON X1900 XTX 512MB (650MHz VPU / 1550MHz GDDR-3) : 11,149 3DMarks
ATi RADEON X1900 XT 512MB (625MHz VPU / 1450MHz GDDR-3) : ~10,000 3DMarks

The only set of beta Catalyst drivers that can run X1900 series is 8.203.4 and there are still some optimizations to be done.

What you guys think?

Rumored benchmarks are impressive, but like you said, beta drivers, have to wait till the real thing is released I guess.

The cards will be lauched and reviewed on those drivers.

I feel sick looking @ this!!!!
I wish I didn't buy my GFX card last month

I still have an AGP X800XTPE.....I could sell that along with my GTX.... :?
(I know I'm a hardware whore!)

This would mean the beta's are from the new catalyst drivers?

If they are released in Feb ATI may have newer drivers? (or do you reviewers already have the cards? and are currecntly benching? LOL)

HMMMM, that is very interesting indeed. Especially the "XTX" product.... :? Is that just a typo and is supposed to represent an XTPE?
Random rumored 3D mark scores don't really do much for me as I need more in order to make any kind of a judgement on these cards. But I will say that I find it interesting to see that a single 7900 is about as good as two of the X1900XT's in crossfire

DailyTech.com has an early review of the X1900XT

and the leaked manual
http://www.dailytech.com/article.aspx?newsid=344

though I wouldn't base my final thoughts on that review because it's still not out yet, and the drivers aren't fully ready.

but all in all, I'm thinking it's going to kick nVidia's GTX512 straight in the teeth, and HARD!
