I guess for $140 it is OK. runs hot though at stock, so if planning to OC, be prepared to spend on aftermarket cooling or do an extreme cooling mod

and reading some of the review on newegg, be patient with installing the drivers.

Not sure why they made the comment about the drivers. Don't bother with the drivers on the cd, just download the latest Catalysts from ATI.com

That or get the 7800GS that is already on sale at CompUSA
No matter what card you chose it will be better than integrated... Is this for a gaming PC or no? If it's not being used for gaming even a GeForce 6200TC will work.

I'd get this
9800PRO for $119.99
Along with an arctic cooling heatsink!

4 closed pipes.....? the person didn't know what they were talking about --> omega drivers won't open pipes like that on a 9800pro!
The cooler....that's why I said to get the arctic cooler ;)

I just think to many cons + having to buy a separate cooler raises the price. this 6600GT performes better and is a better name brand for same price, better cooler

I would like to do gaming with it, I know what ever I get prolly wont play with high settings, dont think I have ever played games set to high...
If I could swing the 300 or so for the 7800 I would get that, was hoping to stay in the 150 range.
Does the 6600gt preform better in the AGP form? the one you linked to is the pci-e version...

$146? no, that's too much and the AGP version is also weaker then the PCI-E
how about this one? :

yeah, it's refurbished if you don't mind but it has better better performance from the start than 6600GT (12pipes and 256bit vs. 8pipes and 128bit) and has great potential (opening the remaining 4 pipes -->16 and OC the sucker)
to play games this is the best I could find in AGP
or if you don't want refurbished:
