Radeon 9800pro w/ SAmsung memory

Post by Merlin »

I saw a video card advertised that said it had samsung memory. Is that good or bad? I saw a review on Ram that Legit did earlier this year that tested several DIMMS from different manufacturers and the ones that had SAMSUNG IC's didn't perform well.

On the 9800Pro cards, that the best OC'ing ram out there. I have E-Die Samsung ram on my card and the ram will hit 395 on the ram........stock is 340.

It's really hard to compare memory for video cards to memory for systems. Also it's a hit or miss thing. One IC can be great and the next the worst. Right now Samsung is being used on Corsair's XL memory line and it runs 2-2-2-5 timings! Sounds pretty good to me ;)
