Hi All!,

I'm a bit of a n00b when it comes to ATI's product line up... I've recently come back from the dark side to ATI, but haven't had an ATI product since a most excellent AIW 9700!!

Could someone please give me a *clear* definition of whats different between the following ATI cards?

1) X1950XTX
2) X1950XT
3) X1950Pro

I've been trying to research this on the net but I've found that even some of the reviewers are using these interchangeably, so I'm confused!!

Thanks in Advance
Loki :drinkers:

Everyone else stumped also as well tambien?

Just looked at ATI's own site (or should I say AMD's) and they had a pick for the X1950 and the X1950 Pro but none of the other models.....

Seems cornfusing!

X1950xtx is top of the line.
MSRP is around 400$
256bit memory interface (the higher the bits the better)
650mhz core clock, 2000mhz memory (clock higher is better)
48 Pixel Shaders (higher the better)
512MB of Memory (Higher is not neccessarily better, all depends on the app)

X1950xt is next down in the line
MSRP is around 250-300$
256bit memory interface
625mhz core clock, 1400 memory clock
48 Pixel Shaders
256-512MB of Memory
Essentially this is downlocked xtx

X1950pro is the bottom level in the x1950 family
MSRP is 200-275$
256bit memory interface
575mhz core clock 1380mhz memory clock
36 Pixel Shaders
256-512MB of memory

x1950pro is equivalent to a 7900gs
x1950xt would be similar to a 7900gt
x1950xtx would be similar to a 7900gtx
