OC'ing HIS x1950 pro 512mb agp

Post by Racerboyf1 »

I just bought the HIS x1950 pro 512mb agp and am having no luck at all with OC'ing it. Is there something I'm missing? Tried using ati tool and then read that ati tool does not support the x1950 pro. Tried using ati control center with no luck at all. Any help would be great.

Get "ATI Tray Tools"
The latest version supports that card!
Make sure you set the default voltages to the 3D ones b4 overclocking as those cards lower the voltages and MHz when in 2D mode.

Is the card a poor overclocker? What should I expect?

Based on some reviews of the x1950 pro 512mb AGP, it is hit or miss if your card can overclock:

Nice, I just got done reading both of those. It doesn't look to be much of an overclocker, but I'll give it a go over the next few days.

Thanks!

Even though it probably won't make a difference you could try Rivatuner

Installed ATI Tray Tools and it seems to do the trick. I haven't tried to take it too far yet. But I will pretty soon.

Thanks for the help,
Chris
