so I reformatted windows and reinstalled drivers and such for my computer and just got the latest ati driver and the latest ati tool, and then I got it up and running at the same clock speeds I had it at. Problem is that is reading different temperatures than before and isn't as stable in the scanning for artifacts. I was wondering if it was a combination of the two or one or both. I had ati tool .25 beta 9 or something before, now I have .26
I had some different catalyst for x64, but I just got the newest one. any ideas. I'd prefer to keep my same clock speeds of 573.75/540(1080)
new ati tool/driver and higher temps?
and its reading my stock clock speed at 506/500 instead of 500/500 I wonder, but I hit 98C supposedly while running artifact test which seems oddly high since its the same clocks I was running at 90 under max load only after long periods of time before.
EDIT: hit over 100C last night and ATI's CCC told me I was running at unsafe temps. That was just from the ati gargoyle clock screensaver. Think its a problem with my cooler or just the newer driver? I think I'll uninstall the drivers and go for a 6 series driver not 7.1.

well I'm an idiot, it's official, was too lazy when cleaning out my cpu case to clean my gfx and the arctic cooler for the x800 is a pain to clean. I sprayed out my case but didn't vacuum it and apparently didn't pick out enough of the dust for sure. It was clogged with dust from the recent installation of the fx-60. up and running at 53C under full load.
