Need help with video cards

hi guys i have two x1600pros and i really need an upgrade.... right now im looking at getting a x1950xtx once ati dx10 is released or should i get something cheaper than a x1950xtx?? x1950xt? x1900xtx? x1900xt?
lol i really have no idea what to do with my video card situation(budget is 350-400)
wait for mid range ati dx10???

If you don't have money and want to play DX10 titles that will be coming out later this year I'd hang on and wait. Mainstream cards like the GeForce 8600's will be coming out later in the year and will be under the $199 price range.

I'd hold off just a bit just to see what the big deal with DX10 REALLY brings to the table...............

(some say not much, John Carmack) and all the new DX10 games coming out later this year will/should be backwards compatable with older DX9 cards.

He!!, as of the latest driver release, they still haven't gotten all the bugs even close to being worked out of DX10 yet.

Right now waiting is the best thing that you could do. There are a couple more cards coming out in the next ~30 days right in your price range that will give you better performance and much more "long term" use.

well i have a crossfire mobo so i should wait.. and get a mid range ati dx10??like uhh x2800GTO or x2800xl?ahhhh or should i save up my money for another month or two and get x2800xtx:O and if i were to get a x2800xtx would it be bottlenecked by my e6300@ 2.88GHz

Won't know till the cards come out -- more than likely some games might be at stock speeds, but with a 1Ghz overclock I highly doubt it.

okay will a 550watt psu be able to power it ....? because im leaning towards getting mid-midhigh range of dx10ati (1hd 2dvd drives 1floppy (7fans :O) and if i wait the extra 1-2months for the money for a x2800xtx will there be something right around the corner that will overpower it???(the vid card not the psu)

X1950GT / X1950Pro, very good cards for their price and really worth while waiting for the next DX10-generation (games AND hardware

ahhhhh so i should get a x1950pro and wait til next year to get a dx10??? ahhh im so torn lol. Wouldnt it be a better idea to wait til march and just get mid range dx10 that will be much faster than x1950pro..?(x2600xt for 200)? or maybe one or two steps higher than that 300USD=maxed out budget i couldnt do 305
