Hi all,
Thanks for looking at this topic.

I have 2 monitors and 1 HDTV connected to my X1950pro card.
The Catalyst only allows me to use 2 displays at a time so I have to switch back and forth between the 2nd display and HDTV.

Is there a way I can clone my primary display to HDTV and let the 2nd be there all the time?

Is there a way to tweak it?

(I was thinking to use DVI spliter and send the signal over HDMI but my HDTV manual says it won't support signal like that and I think high resolution and refresh rate will kill my new 1080i TV)

Do you have both monitors connected via DVI ports, and the HDTV via the other S-video-like output?

If you do and I can't check if this works, but in the display properties (right click properties on desktop) can you access the default windows display manger? Maybe on there you can check to have your desktop on both primary monitors and the HDTV cloning this? With the HDTV resolution set to its native.

Yes. Both LCD monitors are connected to DVI (one is converted to analog D-Sub). HDTV is connected to the S-video connector (I believe it's called "component").

I can access Windows default display manager but the source of signal on secondary display is still determined by Catalyst Control Center.

In other words, CCC tells Windows who is on second display, HDTV or 2nd monitor. Windows doesn't decide itself and there's no option to change either.

Any thought?

If you're sure that the Catalyst only supports 2 monitors then it looks like the only other option would be to buy a second graphics card (if your motherboard supports it) just so that you have a separate graphics port to plug the HDTV in.
