Hey everyone, i recently read an article on Cnet about the Wii, the editor essentially said that the Wii was a great console when it first released, but after beating Zelda and Paper Mario, he lost interest, i too have noticed this, here's the link: http://reviews.cnet.com/4520-6449_7-676 ... tag=feat.1
If you have an opinion about this, please, speak up, I want to know everyone's opinion on the subject.

Most people are waiting for Mario Galaxy, Smash Bros and Metriod. With Metroid released soon, Mario Galaxy in October and Smash Bros early 08 the interest will peak again

Re: Is the Wii Hardcore enough?
I would say so! If it's able to get my lazy brother off of the couch from being a potatoe to play games, it's a winner in my book 100%. There have been many nights where the PS2 is still running and he's passed out on the couch with the controler in his hand in the wee hours of the night. Having the Wii keeps him active and even more socialable too. Ever try talking to a gamer who only grunts at you when you ask questions? The Wii has changed all that. I actually hear words now.

I say the wii is revolutionary in gaming... This is the first thing that has actually gotten people to interact with the games with their whole body instead of the fingers only... besides the ddr crap and the nintendo power pad...
It also spans generations... My friend had his 90 year old grandfather playing wii sports at a christmas party... now THATS crazy.
Wii = awesome

Re: Is the Wii Hardcore enough?
I completely agree with what you guys said, but do you think the Wii can stay ahead of the 360 and the PS3 in the sales department as opposed to how satisfied the customers are? I mean, the Wii just passed the 360 in sales this past week, according to vgchartz.com. Do you guys think it can maintain that lead?
Re: Is the Wii Hardcore enough?
If the wii keeps pushing out these cutesy games maybe the xbox will be back on top soon. I know I like to play lots of shooters, and the wii doesnt really have any.
hardcore gamers are going to buy an xbox or ps3, casual gamers will buy the wii

Don't underestimate the appeal of the wii to non gamers.vicaphit wrote:casual gamers will buy the wii
Believe it or not there is still a huge demand for them.
But I really agree with the OP and the cnet article, I find that I haven't got anything good that makes me want to pick up my wii any more.
