Anyone mod their Wii?

Has anyone modded their Wii and installed Homebrew? I did mine last night.
Did the install go well?
Is it what you had expected or better?

I tried modding it before but was not successfully but after upgrading my Wii to 4.2, I was able to successfully mod it. Using these instructions. My kids are bad for leaving the discs laying around and not putting them back in the cases. I am going to try to copy my games to an external hard drive and hopefully solve that problem 
I just need to pick up me a external drive. I am also going to install some of the emulators (ie MAME). I cannot say if it meets my expectations yet, I will have to get back with you once I start putting some apps on it.
