1up.com has reported that it appears to them Microsoft may be abandoning backward compatibility with the XBOX 360. This would be in stark contrast of what Microsoft has said in the past concerning the 360 and backwards compatibility!

I dont think its too little too late.. Especially when theyve sold like 10 Million+ systems. Which of course they supposedly take a loss on in hopes for the online service+games+add-ons. Most of the 360 customers get the 360 for HD gaming. Which you cant do on the regular xbox. The fact it isnt 100% backwards compatible, I couldnt care less. As for what Sony CLAIMS it will do.. I'll believe it when I see it.. Along with their "FREE" online gaming.. Ive never been a sony fan, thought the ps2 was just plain cheesy. My xbox lasted a tour in Afghan and Iraq, I gave it away still working once I got my 360. My friends have bought numorous ps2's...

At first I was a little concerned about that, but then I realized that I haven't played any of my old xbox games on my 360. Too many good games out to go back to my old stock.

Besides, once you play games in full HD glory, its hard to go back ;)
