DigiTimes has another article related to Winbond exiting the Commodity DRAM market. Which means that if you currently have awesome memory with Winbond IC's, the value of that memory just increased because it not be made pretty soon if production is still going on at all right now.
"Except for shipments it has committed to make to Infineon Technologies, Winbond Electronics will completely exit the commodity DRAM market by the third quarter of 2004, the company said in a press statement today."
