New Ram and Configuration

So Some would say it's a waste of time to do this, but I am doing it.
I purchased a Mushkin 2x1gb kit of Cas 2 memory from newegg. I needed to get more ram so I figured why not get better ram for my main rig and use the ram from it to fill my other machines. As I needed more ram for my other machines. I had been just using some form one for multiple and eventually you run out of enough to have each running well. So I will be going from 4x512mb of dual channel cas 2.5 running at 333 and t2 timings due to motherboard limitation. Now I will be running 2x1gb at 400 mhz at t1 command rate and still dual channel. Will this be a noticable increase in performance? I just wanted to know.
