How can I set the registry to limit memory used by ME

Post by tomcat619 »

Hi Folks
I'm brand new to this forum so I hope this in the right place. I'm building a Dual Boot PC using XP Pro and Windows ME. I did one of these a few years ago. I'm using 2 gigs of dual channel memory and need to edit the registry to limit the paging in ME. I'm away from home base and forgot my memory trouble shooting manual that told how to do this. If it's not limited you get alot of errors saying that you are out of memory when that's just the oppisite. I can work out the exact number of page views but for the life of me I can't remember where the setting is in the registry.

If anyone can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.

Welcome to the forums :)

Not sure how to do what your asking, I'm sure someone here can help.

But I'm wondering why not run just XP and not dual boot XP/ME? Got some old program that won't run on XP?
