DDR600 @ 2-2-2

I was able to get OCZ's PC-3200 Gold Edition VX memory all the way up to DDR600 at 2-2-2 timings on the DFI SLI-D motherboard this morning at 3.2 Volts on the memory. Not too shabby!

Here is avalidationlink for those who are interested in that. I'm working right now on getting the multiplier higher and some other issues on the board right now. This board has so many memory options it isn't funny!

4x cpu multiplier ? that doesn't give accurate results.. try 6x cpu multiplier :)

basic run down of bios options at http://i4memory.com/showthread.php?t=327

venice cpu.. ahhhhh i'm jealous :)

i wish I could even hit the 5x multi... LOL Isn't going to happen. I am running the 3-16 BIOS and am going to be putting on 4-14 tonight to see if it helps at all.

Someone didn't believe that I was running DDR600 at 2-2-2 and requested a screen shot of Memtest running -- here you go:

4x is bugged i can memtest screenies at 4x 350mhz 2-2-2-6 at 3.2v hehe

lowest cpu multiplier you want to test with is 6x and no lower :)

6x 300mhx = 1800mhz easy for a 2800mhz at stock venice cpu ;)

some day people will realize that your #1 in the world when it comes to memory :)

Got the new BIOS installed okay. 414-3 seems to be working fine, but so far I can only hit 250x11 and be 100% stable at 2-2-2 timings. On 316 I was able to hit 255X11 and be rock solid.

Here is a shot of Sandra running at 250x11 with the memory running 2-2-2-2. Sandra notes that the command rate is 2T, but on the BIOS post screen it reads as 1T, so I am unsure which is correct right now.

section #9 http://i4memory.com/showthread.php?t=327
A few notes and issues before we start:

1. Sandra 2003, 2004, 2005 all incorrectly report 1T/2T or 1CMD/2CMD in sandra bandwidth bandmark even if you have CPC enabled in bios (1T). Reason seems to be Sandra is looking for tWTR and tRTW timings instead. If tWTR or tRTW are set to 1 (very very aggressive) then Sandra reports 1CMD instead of 2CMD. Not alot of memory brands/modules will handle both set at 1. Recommended values are 2. So ignore Sandra's 1CMD/2CMD 1T/2T report.

2. DFI boards have additional dividers for DDRAM/CPU but these additional ones will not properly display in CPUZ 1.27 (will be blank for ram mhz speed) and Clockgen will report the memory mhz speed in negative 1:1 numbers.
i.e. 11x 250mhz 2-2-2-6 7-15-2212

cool that confirms everything I was thinking! :) Looks like those BH5's you have are running faster than these UTT's at DDR500 2-2-2.

yeah could be advance timings related i.e. Trc, Trfc, Trrd, Trw, Trtw, Twtr values being tighter on my OCZ PC3200 Gold BH5 dies :)

with your venice 2800mhz at stock volt air, could it do 3000mhz on air/water with a bit of volts ? would be nice to see 12x 250mhz 2-2-2-6 benchmarks :)

11 is the default/max multi for that Venice

doh totally forgot about that.. easy solution get rid of 3500+ venice by sending it my way and grab yourself a 3800+ venice :)

3500+ is definitely the best value for the money
