What's a million dollars these days? Aim for a billion! Wow thats a lot of cash, but thing of how many years this will be in court & all the court costs.Rambus, a chip-design company based in Mountain View, accused the four companies -- Micron Technology, Hynix, Infineon Technologies and Siemens -- of conspiring to block the adoption of Rambus' memory-chip technology. The suit was filed in Superior Court in San Francisco and seeks more than $1 billion in damages.
Wow... that is a pretty strong comment to make in a sue happy world! In 1996, a Hynix executive wrote an e-mail to a Hitachi executive and other memory-chip makers that they should ``educate others and get their agreement to say no to Rambus and no to Intel domination.''
