Help, I can't decid.

Post by DL13 »

Hi
Well, I thought I decided on the ram to get, but I didn't. It looks like I just might have a little extra cash to spend on ram, so I started to look at Mushkin, I like the timing on them, and I was wandering if some one uses it here on LR or knows some one? So basically I would like to now if they are worth the money? I have bin looking at G-Sill, OCZ too.

I got G Skill Pi series and they use very low voltage, I'm running my 4 times 2 GB DDR2 at 1100 Mhz with 1.95 V. But they don't overclock very good even with a lot of voltage.

Hi
Thanks for the response guys. That's why I'm looking at OCZ and G-skill I heard a lot of good things about them, they run strong and perform good.

I might just do that or put the names in a hat and pick one.

Brands are brands, trademarks to pull us into the "cool" factor. I wanted G*Skill but ended with Mushkin my first kit, but only because it had Micron D-9 chips in them, which were/are very capable of overclocking bliss.

Go with the lower priced of the two, honestly. Ram is ram is ram, if you aren't planning on overclocking it then it doesn't matter.
Cyberpower generic case

Ryzen 5 3600 w/PBO/OC
CM Hyper 212 EVO push/pull
Corsair VENGEANCE LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3600 CL16
MSI RTX 3060 Ti Ventus 3X 8G OC LHR
Samsung 970 EVO Plus 500GB

EVGA 650BQ 650W PSU
ASUS VE278 27" monitor, Dell E2216HV (vertical)
Logitech Z533 2.1 Speakers, G935 7.1 or G435 headset
MS LXM-00001 keyboard
Razer Deathadder Elite, XBOX One Lunar Shift controller

I've come a long way from my original Core2Duo E6750 build y'all! :supz:
