Wow... I am in the process on getting some for review!! I got the hardware that can run it! Until then take a look at the PR!
Each PC-4800 Dual Channel kit features an integrated copper heatspreader to aid in heat dissipation and is rated for CL3-4-4-8 (read: CAS-tRCD-tRP-TRAS) latencies at 2.8 volts. Based on current testing results, OCZ is able to qualify PC-4800 EL DDR memory with the Asus P4C800 Deluxe and P4C800-E Deluxe mainboards.

"OCZ is pleased to be making such big advancements in the memory market," said Dr. Michael Schuette, Director of Technology Development with OCZ Technology Group. "OCZ has spent a considerable amount of time developing memory able to consistently run at 600MHz DDR, and are very pleased with the end results, as we have produced the highest speed DDR memory available today."

Wow is right!... two things come to my mind...

1... didn't know it was possible at DDR1
and 2... that is an incredibly small market to sell 600MHz memory

i think only the P4 crowd will need this.... the AMD guys have trouble using PC3700 to their MAX, let alone PC4000! :p

Vaporware that is not available anywhere. if it ever does start shipping there will be no way to confirm that it works at 600MHz since there are no motherboards that can work at that speed.

I can“t beleive how memory is increasing frequency at this speed
with some luch, DDR400 and above will reduce its price with the release of this memory :)

I am happy with my OCZ PC3700 Rev 2 that is also running at 500MHz so, why spend more money if this memory can do the same :-)

All that high speed stuff really doesn't do a thing for AMD systems due to the very loose timings, AMD needs tight timings to get good benches.........I suppose you could use the high speed stuff to get to 250 FSB, but I don't know how much your benches will improve..........

I can't find this product available anywhere and really doubt it exists at all (or ever will).

Just more marketing fluff from a sticker company as far as I'm concerned.

I asked OCZ for review samples and they said that a couple stores have it and that one system builder is using it. They said that mid-June they should be able to ramp production of it up. That is when IC's should be avaiable in the quanity needed for OCZ to produce it for the masses.

Which stores? I'd love to buy some and see what it will really do.

The unnamed system builder will never materialize (if the 600MHz modules ever do). All the gaming OEMs use Corsair RAM.

That's not 100% true. This is getting a bit off topic, but my buddy owns All American Computer (Their Site) and only uses Geil memory. He tried to get a contract with Corsair, but they offered him a "deal", but it was for more than what newegg was selling them for.
