I bought these and got them this week and one's a dual channel kit from crucial.com with L503 code and the other are 2 singles bought 2nd hand from guy at xtremesystems.org (via newegg 6 weeks ago) but the singles have different codes
Singles:
CM128M6416T27ZD2T-4YXCDFTL
vs
Dual channel kit:
BL12864L503. 16TD
Any ideas what the single stick codes mean ?
thanks

I found that the AMD Winchester CPU needs extra voltage on the ASUS A8N SLI motherboard when running with two "big" 1GB DIMMs.
Initially I tried the default 2.80v volts and it was hopelessly unstable. I simply boosted the DIMM voltage from the default 2.80 volts to 2.90 volts and voila! It fixed all my instability problems.
this was all i could find --> in anandtech forum -

CM128M6416T27ZD2T-4YXCDFTL
presume - 128bit x64M 2T - haven't a clue what the 4YXCDFTL means

thanks mate
I emailed crucial to ask about the different code in the left side white label on modules and was told the code depends on the retailer etc i.e. Crucial direct shows L503 etc, while newegg where the singles came from showed ZD2T. The orange label on modules comes from crucial/micron and the PN (crucial terms material #) denotes the memory ICs used.
Crucial confirmed both PN of 51181 use the same Micron ICs

OMG
That's 1GB sticks clocking that high?
I would check DFI street for some bios settings for that ram... Failing test #8 can mean probs... but with all the options on DFI's boards.. I bet you can get 250hmz... Doesn't crucial deal only with micron? I tought Micron's IC's like ~3V??
Or are you using DFI?
I have to post some screenies of my OC endevours.... later tonight when i get home ;)
Nowhere near your league.. but still
Also thats running 2T command rate? Will it not run 1T?
Is there any overclockable 1GB stick that can run 1T?
As always keep posting your results.. loved the 7800 post... much aprieciated

yeah using DFI NF4 UT SLI-DR with 2T it's like 4x512MB, 2T only
crucial 1GB ballistix in 2x1GB can do 285mhz 3-3-3-8 1T, but 4x1GB need 2T
no probs with test #8 once swapped sticks around the dimm slots
