Hey Peoples i guess i just dont know much about memory but why would the second set be $100 more then the first? Difference?

ECC (error correction code) does as its name implies, it corrects memory errors.
Usage is generally limited to servers and high end workstations where data loss from a crash would far outweigh the extra cost for the RAM.
That, or it's old inventory.
Some e-tailers are still selling GeForce 5600's for $300.

It's the combination of Buffered+Registered+ECC that makes up the price difference.
