Quantity vs Quality

Ok, now when I mean Quality, not thinking of nonamed ram, but medium brands.
In case of low-budget,isnt better to have for example 2 gb ram from a medium brand rather then 1gb of high quality brand.

if the memory works then it would be better to get 2GB versus 1GB....
Ever consider value memory from a name brand?

If you're actually going to use all that ram (gaming, AutoCAD, rendering, etc) then 2gb of anything that actually works is better than 1gb of high performing ram, especially since you can use a divider to OC your CPU. If you're just going to bench, then you'll want 1gb of fast, HQ ram.

What constitutes high quality ram? There is some dual channel 1 GB X 2 Geil memory with blue heat sinks which is advertized as high performance and lifetime warranty. Is this high quality?
I want to buy some memory at a good price, the Geil is on e-Bay buy it now for $179.00. Is that good memory at a good price? Or should I look elsewhere?

Geil are inconsistant.......I personally wouldn't use them!
Quality ram comes with a Lifetime Warranty.....
Quality ram usually has lower timings......
The main thing to look for is brand name and lifetime warranty!!!!
If you can afford it, go for low latency

It's more about
chip usage of the capacity you want.
e.g. for 512MB modules you get the same OC potential with PDP 3200XBLK vs. Corsair 3200XL because both use the same brainpower PCB and Samsung TCCD chip. One is significantly cheaper than the other.
Lifetime warranty if more of an afterthought.
