RAM ....... What???

I am looking at upgrading the RAM in my notebook, can anyone recomend what I should fit to my mine. I will probably look at going to 1x 512 in first and ultimatley fit a 2nd 512. What sort of RAM will work best and how many pins are involved (ive seen some RAM advertised with 184 pins and some with 200?)

that will tell you what you have, but probably DDR1 sodimm is what you want. If you have 2 256 meg chips, then you would need 2 512 meg chips of course. It only has 2 memory slots from what I can see.

and that will tell you exactly - says the 333 or 266 will work in yours...use the link above first - the other is a program you have to install.

P.S. - isnt 512 enough in that laptop? must be doing a LOT for 1gb ;) I would just throw another 256 into it and be done. But thats me 8)

I looked it up for ya and you definitely need DDR 266 (PC2100) as it appears to be the max speed. It also happens to have 200 pins. Also, it's definitely capable of 1 gb of ram.

Something with similar specs to this should do nicely. :mrgreen:
