Can a guru with a socket 939 board answer a tough memory question please?
I have two different pc3500 cas2.5 512mb sticks with my a64 3500. My maximum memory speed are as follows:
227mhz 2:1 synchronys = 454mhzDDR cas 2.5 and 2T loose settings or I can run at about
184mhz using a memory divider to = 368mhzDDR cas 2 and 1T tight settings.
The BIG question is: both these setups net me about 5400 sisoft memory and 5100pcmark04 memory scores they come out equal. AND I heard that on a64 socket 939 dual channel, it doesn't matter if you run your memory at 2:1 synch with bus or not. So am I better off with the high speed and crappy 2T or the lower speed and 1T (which makes a big difference) on my setup, or do my memory benchmarks mean they are the same. I have a feeling even though the benches are the same I should run at the higher synchronized 454mhz??
