I've got 2GB(2x1GB)DDR 400MHz (PC3200)Patriot Signature line memory
The computer that I'am buying next comes with 512MB DDR 400MHz (PC3200) max. it'll hold is 4GB
Should,I add more ram, when I get the computer?Should,I put it at it's max? What will be the difference in what I have now in ram and having 4GB's?
Oh,it's a AMD Athlon 64 3700+ (2.2GHz)processor
200GB HDD

I've heard Windows XP doesn't use more than 2GB at all... I think Vista does though... although that requires a format and all that good stuff. Plus Vista isnt looking too great for gaming ATM, just look at the LR review. Plus its pricey as hell.
I'd keep your 2GB... Its 2x 1GB sticks right? IMO thats plenty for now. Plus if you use all 4 slots it clocks down the memory 1 timing. 2 @ 400 Mhz becomes = 4 @ 333 Mhz I think... if im not mistaken...
