They've done it before. I don't think it really adds that much.

This is old news as Corsair released the XPERT series sticks some time ago.

Just having that feature looks like it adds almost 200 dollars to the cost. I would be willing to pay 20...but no more.

They cost more than a normal 1066Mhz pair so i don't think they worth the money

it depend to user taste....i think its cool and can give nice view in my interior casing during night time...

I saw pics somewhere where someone removed the LED panels from the ram and rigged a ribbon cable to them so he could attach them to the front of his case.
