A place to talk about A/V receivers, Blu-Ray players, LCD or Plasma TV mounting, audio tips or anything else that you think fits.

how do i play dts audio on movies

Post by pmanipole »

I have downloaded several blueray movies that are mkv with dts audio. i burn the movies on to dvd and i am able to see video but no audio. my player says dts on it and it is a hdmi upconverter player. it doesnt matter is i set output to pcm or bitrate.

I believe i need a reciever to decode/boost the output of the dvd player. the vid looks great so i am happy with that part.

or is there a way to easily change the dts audio to ac3? i have seen some guides on how to do it but there are alot of work and i have never been able to do it.

thanks

Umm, downloading movies is illegal and not discussed on this forum!
