Hello,
New to forum
• Looking for 46" LCD/LED TV
• Budget up to £830/$1300/1000€
• TV will be used for watching SD and Blu-Ray
• Would prefer a 3D one , SONY or SAMSUNG
• Dont care about InternetTV, SmartTV and such
1) After looking on a lot of reviews http://lcdtvbuyingguide.com/lcdtv/compare-reviews.php SAMSUNG is better
but have had perfect experience with SONY
2) What specs should I look for? I know about constrast and response time but have heard about DNLA and other stuff
3) Is there difference in 3D technology amongst TVs?
Any specific TV reccomendations? or brand reccomendations?
Looking forward to the replies

I think your choice not to look for internet tv is way off. A 46" should have built in wi-fi and 3D transmitter. I like Sony, I bought my mom a 55" Sony KDL-NX720. She is very happy I think, since she lives far from me. You should check out cnet to get some more insight on your purchase. . http://reviews.cnet.com/tvs/?filter=500 ... ting7+desc

Every person I know that has had a Samsung has had problems.
3d is a joke. Internet tv is a joke also unless you have family around the world/country that want to Skype or you pay for netflix low quality streaming
I have a 50" Panasonic plasma and have never seen a lcd or led compare to the quality but the power requirements are super high.
It will also depend on what room it is in for the brightness needed and reflection qualities.
For a lower price point, I would look at Vizio - I would use them for a bedroom myself but I know a lot of people that use them for main sets and love them.

Remember, I am opinionated and nothing I say or do reflects on anyone or anything else but me

+1 I don't even bother with it anymore. Stupid glasses. I find 3D annoying.
I really like internet tv and use it a lot.

Great choice if you don't use 3D. I read 3D isn't so good on that set. Other than that I think you made the right choice.
