Hey all, just aheads up. When using the K8N Neo2 Platinum mboard for your 939 pin A64, the SATA 1&2 do NOT lock with the PCI/AGP lock. You must use SATA 3 & 4. Just hoping to help someones frustration with this!

Abit Asus or MSI
Hi All,
I am about to get one of those motherboards for socket 939 Abit A8V, Asus or K8N Neo2 Platinum.
All of them got good reviews and i can't decide. I am very happy with my old abit board socket A.
Do all those boards get the amd 64 939 3000+. I can't spent much for a faster cpu now. I was reading that Asus gets from 3500+ and over and the abit from 3200. The MSI can get the 3000.
I am looking also from memory 1GB Ram. Any sugestion?
Many thanks

I agree, all of these boards will handle the new Winchester CPU with their latest BIOS versions. The ASUS has to be version 1007 or newer. The ASUS is a very good, very solid board, but ABIT booards always seem to O/C a little better, it comes down to both what you want to do and personal preference. I have a hard time recommending eith MSI board right now though. another option to check out is the DFI board baaed on the NVidia chipset, it is or shortly should be on the shelves.
