Replacement for K8N Diamond Plus

My second mobo had a bad floppy controller. Long story short, the BIOS wouldn't take new settings, replaced the CMOS battery, still no dice. Tried to upgrade, didn't work and then the floppy controller died, meaning I have a half-flashed BIOS that I can't recover from.

I'm sick of MSI's bull**** and I want a new board.

I was looking at the Asus A8N32-SLI Deluxe. Anything bad about this board? What other options should I consider? Throwing everything out and buying a Core2 is NOT an option!

You cant go wrong with ASUS in my opinion, they sell more then 45 Million MB's a month if you include all the OEM MB's.

But realisticly any of them can have a mistake, and do, but I have had good luck with ASUS for the most part but the A8V I have is giving me fits with 4 modules is the only thing I have seen recently. But a lot of MB's have problems with 4 modules.

I agree about asus, this is a 939 board? cuz if so then I say A8N series. A8n-5x or a8n-sli etc. if its 940 or something then I don't know.

nice choice but I do like msi also lol, I have 4 of their boards and they all work great. I jsut have seen better oc results on asus. watch the heatsink fan on the a8n32 if it is the one with the fan if it dies you'll need to replace it as it will overheat and need it.
