The DFI Lanparty UT 790FX-M2RV motherboard is based on the forthcoming 790FX chipset from AMD and ATI and while it's not out yet a recent picture has leaked out on the internet:
Notice that DFI didn't go with quad-Crossfire. The board has three PCIe x16 slots, thus supporting only tri-Crossfire. Six SATA 3.0 Gbps ports, two UATA connector and four DDR2 slots supporting memory at 800 MHz (maybe 1066MHZ DDR2 also). In addition, it will feature two Gigabit Ethernet ports and 7.1 channel audio. The motherboards are set to be released next month.

Only 2 sata ports? That would be a deal breaker for me, I have 6 and 5 are in use.

Four between the IDE and Floppy connectors (2x 2 yellow ports mounted at 90 degrees) and two near the power/reset switches.

I see where you mean, but I still can't tell that those 4 are SATA connectors from that angle.
I did think it peculiar to only have 2 though.

From reading Apops post the 2 ports Ken referred to are probably 3 and 3 SATA 3.0 ports and the other 2 next to the bottom PCIe slot are Ultra ATA(UATA)

No, UATA refers to IDE slots. So it either refers to the fact that each ide slot is for two devices, or they're counting the floopy port as a UATA port.
There are four SATA plugs at 90 degrees like Ken said, plus the other two.

Yea I see the side ports guess I musta been tired that day. Six sata, and all those expansion ports, I'm gonna have to look at the board again. Is that board gonna take an 8800gt video card? Dual video card isn't an issue for me unless I hit the lottery lol.

Yes, but you can't run SLI on DAAMIT boards.Methious wrote:Is that board gonna take an 8800gt video card? Dual video card isn't an issue for me unless I hit the lottery lol.
