2x 1024 667 ddr2 ram (new)
inno3d 8400gs graphics
580watt psu (new)
if i try and boot the pc it gets to the republic of gamers symbol and says press del to enter bios or tab to view post or sumthin but freezes there, i have the messege "usb init" on the lcd screen on the back but have no usbs plugged in (mouse and keyboard arnt usb) i have tryed different combo's of memory in different slots even just 1 stick and it still does this, i have cleared cmos, cleared cmos and taken mobo battery out and it still does this, asus told me to update the bios settings but i cant even get to the bios settings! any help will be very much apprieciated.

I'd get in touch with where ever you bought it and start a RMA to get it repaired/replaced.
Sounds like you've done everything you can to a board that isn't even POSTing.

depends on where you bought it and how long ago you bought it

i recieved it 2 days ago from an online shop, it has a 14 day no fuss return on it but i got it quite cheap (mobo, cpu and 2gig ram £150) and like the setup so wanted to keep the same setup really.

Well if you can't return the mobo separately to get it fixed, then get in touch with Asus.
Where did you buy it from btw? That sounds like quite a good deal.

i spoke to the guy a few mins ago and he said he'll get back to me tomorrow about what to do.
Oh and i have 2x 1024 ocz ram coming in the next day or two so i'll see if that does anything (doubt it but worth a shot!)

I had that message come up on my lcd poster of a asus striker 2 formula after it hung in a bios flash. Ran the board over to tiger the next day and swapped it out. No matter what I did couldn't get it past that point. I was just glad I bought it locally. Sorry to say but it sounds like the bios are corrupted. Maybe someone here knows a way to flash the bios before it post but I don't know if it can be done.

do you have the model name of the motherboards of the 2 other desktops? heres a guide for hotflashing that also explains what it is quite well:

If I'm on the phone with some company and they ask me to do things like that which i have already done, I just tell them that I'm doing it and just sit there for a minute >_>
I guess the same applies for emailing ;)
