Mobos without IGP

Wouldn't it be a little more inconvenient to have a motherboard without IGP? I know IGP aren't really useful with almost everyone having dedicated GPUs, but don't you need some kind of "GPU" to be able to display anyting on a monitor/TV/screen when you're....let's saying installing a new OS...like windows 7. I'm talking about a new build, everything has JUST arrived from newegg.
Here's an example of one o the motherboards without IGP:

I'm use to mobos with IGP included; just asking since I'm planning on a new build soon.

How are you going to have the video card working if you didn't have any form of display.........*you dont need drivers for it to work*....I see

This posts intrigues me, I really don't get your point.

you want IGP (you mean integrated graphics?) to install SO, and then plug a pci/agp/pci-e GPU?

My motherboard doesn't have an IGP. The graphics card works without drivers, but of course it will not have all of its features enabled. I was almost screwed by having no IGP, because my card broke down and I had no other PCI-e cards. Luckily I had an old ATI Rage PCI card laying around which I used while my card was sent out for warranty.

At first i was wondering how is it possible to have a system set-up if you have no form of display from a graphics adatper because all the PC's I've made so far has integrated graphics on them. Then i remembered that you can simply install a descrete graphics card in & it will still work.
I recently realized some mobos from newegg states that no integrated graphics included so I was a little confused.

That would be really inconvenient if somebody orders a new PCI-e that was DOA and they had no old graphics cards lying around.

i've actually never purchased a board WITH integrated graphics, our dell has it tho, that and our 600MHz P3 computer(both prebuilt, the P3 was made by Pionex lol never heard of the company before or after my parents got it)
