Is it worth waiting for AM2

I am thinking of upgrading but I keep hearing talk of the am2 socket. Is it worth waiting for? I can hold out but I don't want to if the benefits are not worth it.
What does everyone think?

as of right now I am waiting until AM2 to do my next upgrade. But then i already have a high end system with a 3800+ 1gb of Ram and a x850xtpe. Depending on how much your hurting changes how much you need to wait. AM2 will not offer much difference other than DDR2 immidatately and then 65nm processors some time next year. Thats why im buying AM2 when it comes out for the improved memory bandwidth ( should be awsome with some DDR800 and 4GB) and the chance at some good overclocking chips.
