These are the mobos.

Albatron K8X800 ProII (VIA K8T800)

AOpen AK86-L (VIA K8T800)

ASUS K8V Deluxe (VIA K8T800)

BIOSTAR K8NHA Pro (NVIDIA nForce3 150)

BIOSTAR K8VHA Pro (VIA K8T800)

Chaintech ZNF3-150 (NVIDIA nForce3 150)

Gigabyte GA-K8N (NVIDIA nForce3 150)

Gigabyte GA-K8NNXP (NVIDIA nForce3 150)

Gigabyte GA-K8VT800 (VIA K8T800)

Leadtek K8N Pro (NVIDIA nForce3 150)

MSI K8T Neo (VIA K8T800)

Shuttle AN50R (NVIDIA nForce3 150)

Soltek SL-K8AV2-RL (VIA K8T800)

Seems to me that, Albatron K8X800 ProII is the best overclockable A64 mobo out there.

Remember not to judge by just one review... get a few opinions before drawing your personal conclusion... Hard|OCP's OC views on the Albatron K8X800 ProII.

Yeah Apoptosis, the Abit K8V-MAX 3 would've been a great board as well.

These A64 mobos are not that overclockable due to the VIA K8T800 & nForce3 150 chipsets.
nForce3 150 can lock the AGP/PCI bus but can't use the unlocked multipliers of the A64.
K8T800 can unlock the multipliers but can't lock the AGP/PCI bus.

So if you're really into A64 overclocking, you have to wait for a chipset that allows AGP/PCI locking & unlocked multipliers, may be the nForce3 250 that's out next year might do the job.

Or what about the upcoming VIA K8T800 Pro chipset? Is that going to be able to lock the AGP/PCI bus?

What are the improved features of the K8T800 Pro compared with K8T800?

I think in the nForce3 250, they're gonna include native SATA supprot, maybe 8 USB 2.0 ports compared with 6 in the nF3 150. Will they have soundstorm?

Anyway hope both chipsets have the AGP/PCI lock & unlocked multipliers?

Hmmm. The Albatron board got a good rating. Interesting. New company is making a name for itself.
