new to intel

Post by hercules71185 »

I'm about to buy a q6600 after numerous debate over the e8400. Basic factors that made me choose what I did are.
For gaming the e8400 maybe faster in dual situations, but, for the most part the GPU is what gives you most of your Frames per second.
Multi tasking I'm bad about it so it's nice to have something that is fast no matter what is open,
and compressing and changing file types to save space.
With that aside. I'm trying to get it to about 3.2 all day stable.
What is the basic entry level mobo that will allow this?

thank you and out of curiosity, I've heard people refer to the p35 boards. What does that mean? Part of the model of a manufacture or just a set up of a board?
