need a new 775 Board

Post by skier »

whats the best board(ATX) for a budget build, it will start off with a P4 HT 3.0, then i will move to a E7200 most likely

looking for sub-$60, can go up to $80 but don't want to

Overclocking doesn't have to be amazing, but i would like some features

any recommendations? :prayer:

Too bad you couldn't have gotten one of those P35 boards for $48... Far better chipset than the P965!

Personally, it does not matter. It totally depends on your PC case.
If you don't have enough room in the case (or the case only supports mATX mobo), then use mATX motherboard.

I gotta' go with sbinh on this. The Gigabyte is a good board and a pint or two of blood would make up the difference :)

Don't go too short on a mobo, the exra $20 is worth it in the end.

I haven't seen a mATX P35 board. I picked up an mATX Asus P5K-VM board for a project here at work. Seems to be decent, supports 45nm chips, DDR2, G33 chip set. Its a $97 board, but you can pick up an open box for around $70.
